Agriculturist Spring 2014 magazine

The Agriculturist is a student publication of the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications at Texas Tech University. The stories developed for each issue center on the complex, dynamic food, feed, fiber, bioenergy and natural resource systems within today’s agriculture industry. These stories highlight the people, processes, and technologies located at Texas Tech University, in West Texas, throughout the United States, and across the world.

Each semester, students majoring in agricultural communications enroll in ACOM 4310 Development of Agricultural Publications produce this magazine in both print and digital form as part of their degree requirements. This process includes identifying, researching, and writing stories, photographing and/or creating the images that enhance the story experience for the reader, creating the layout for the story in both print and digital formats, and securing the financial support necessary to complete and distribute the final products. The magazine is funded solely by advertisers and sponsors and is a not-for-profit publication.
